HOW IT IS SCORED
Total score 400-1600, the sum of Reading & Writing (200-800) and Math (200-800). The digital test is section-adaptive: the second module gets harder or easier based on the first.
WHAT A GOOD SCORE LOOKS LIKE
Around 1050 is average nationally. 1200+ is competitive at most state universities; 1400+ targets selective schools and many scholarships.

16 MIN TESTShort passages, one question each: vocabulary in context, main idea, evidence, transitions, grammar and punctuation.
WHAT TO MEMORIZE
- Every answer must be provable from the text.
- Transitions: however contrasts, therefore concludes, moreover adds.
- Semicolons join two complete sentences.
- Watch subject-verb agreement across long phrases.
- Shortest grammatically correct answer is often right.
