HOW IT IS SCORED

Each of the four tests is scored 100-200. You need 145 to pass each subject. 165-174 is College Ready; 175+ earns college credit in some states.

WHAT A GOOD SCORE LOOKS LIKE

145 passes. Aim for 165+ if college is the plan — and note that for enlistment a GED alone usually requires a higher ASVAB score than a diploma does.

WHAT TO MEMORIZE

You get a formula sheet — learn where things are on it.
Fractions, decimals and percents convert both ways.
Linear equations and simple graphing carry many points.
Word problems: identify the operation before calculating.
Use the on-screen calculator on part two.
